I am a Chicago-based Web-designer/ writer/ Internet marketing specialist. I've worked in publishing for more than 13 years as a magazine editor, Web designer, book author, magazine feature writer, and Web director (pretty much in that order).
Here is a collection of my work and other things I find interesting.

The common thread to my career has been publishing. I’ve written two books, worked for two different publishing companies, held the title of Assistant Editor, Senior Editor, Editor, Web Site Manager, Web Director, and now CEO/President of my own little business, which (for now) is just me.
I decided to start my own Web design business when we relocated from San Francisco to Chicago. I’ve been blessed with some pretty great jobs thus far. It would be pretty hard to top my job as Web Director for Chronicle Books, a position that allowed me to peruse gorgeous art, design, cooking, pop culture, and travel books every day. And before that, my role as Senior Editor for HOW allowed me to discover new designers, learn design history, and travel all over writing, researching, and spreading the good word of HOW.
But working on my own has been pretty great on its own. I’ve scored some pretty fantastic clients, including my alma mater Chronicle, mystery writer Sara Paretsky, Harper Collins San Francisco, Ark Wiley & Jobson (a San Francisco-based immigration law firm), Pilates-Pro, a site commemorating the 30th anniversary of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and writing for MomFinds (a style and shopping blog for new mothers), HOW magazine, and The Artist's Magazine.
I’m always looking for new, exciting work to do. I could sit here and tell you how great I am to work with, my reliability, creativity, and efficiency, but I figured I’d let my past clients do that for me. Here are some endorsements from past and current clients.
Oh, and here's my resume.
