Inspired by the movie titles Saul
Bass designed for Hitchcock, I used blocky horizontal shapes to carve
out the design for the Web site for mystery writer Sara
Paretsky. I also used a subtle
tint
gradation to add a kind of depth to the page, and a black and white (plus
blood red!) color palette for a dramatic, noir-ish look.
